Night Owls R Us

This is definitely a nod at all writers, creators & entrepreneurs in the world, and I guess, I have to include the gamer, right. I light my candle to set the mood & those who know me (know) I must sip on my hot cup of tea, as I zone out into my goals & to-do-list, or continue editing my next book. Sometimes I am up super late (like right now) battling writer’s block, or starting something from scratch, because I’m in my feelings, the poet in me has something to say. Sometimes it’s an assignment due in the am, and I’m stuck on the last paragraph of an essay, either way, I wouldn’t change a thing (I love being a night owl). There’s something about being up alone at night with that candle lit, some tea, listening to slow jams while writing poetry:

Twinkle in the eyes…heavy breaths delayed…stretched by the seconds, so no sound escapes…from the intervention of thoughts, too fragile to mention…in case this revelation…burns only inside…of me.
