End-of-year Cleaning

Hi guys! Hoping you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving alongside your loved ones. I was inspired to share (wondering) how you are going to prepare yourself, as we all get ready to say goodbye to 2021, and welcome 2022, if God allows it. I am Puertorican, and along the years I have noticed a difference when I have ended the year in PR. For example, as early as September, but no later than October in PR. folks start painting their homes, and doing what we call in the States “Spring cleaning”. Everyone does what they can, whatever is in their budget, but nevertheless, starting the year with everything clean and organized is a must. Although, I was born here in the States, I end my year regrouping on all levels. By a certain date in December, I need to make sure that I have gone through everything in my home, in some circumstances, it is “out with the old & in with the new”. I take some time to reflect on the goals I wrote the last December, some I am able to highlight off the list, because they were accomplished, and others I take off the list, because due to (life happens) along the year, they are no longer a priority or have become unrealistic for my future. Some goals are rolled over to the new year, because they continue to be important, but more time is needed. I try my hardest to accomplish this no later than week 3, so I can bring the year in (in prayer), a good meal, and if you are like me (watching the snow come down). A lot of people make fun of those who look forward to the changes they plan on making for the new year, especially when you have been talking about some of them for years (please ignore those people) and write your goals down (try again and again), because that’s all we can do in life (try) and that is better than doing nothing, aspiring nothing. I will die trying guys. Anyhow, I hope I have inspired the reader to regroup, reflect, and write those goals, along with the changes you’d like to make. God Bless.
